I took out a contract in Nov 2011 with Cell C. The sim we used for a couple of months, and has been inactive since due to high data charges.
I have never had a problem with my debit order amount, but noticed last month that R295.00 (some change) was deducted instead of R99.01
On the itemized billing it said opera04. I contacted the customer care at Cell C and all they had to say was that they have no affiliation with the co. and gave me a no to call, (which does not exist) I had to do my own research to find a number for the company Opera Interactive. I got a hold of someone there that managed to cancel the "supposed" subscription I did. They then told me to phone khulaville.com as this is the co. I supposedly subscribed to, but I am absolutely sure I didn't. It's a co. in Spain? According to them I subscribed in Feb 2013. I did my research and this is a very common problem with Cell C. How is this allowed? I am owed over R300, that I will probably never see again. This service is disgusting, I feel violated and robbed. Some measurements should be put in place for like this. And I will have nothing to do with Cell C ever again! Can't wait for this contract to end!
