DOUBLE PAYMENT - LONG WAIT FOR REFUND

I advised Cell C more than 3 months ago not to use the details of the debit order as I have changed banks and that I will be paying my account via direct EFT from my new bank account. I paid the amount in terms of my account on Thursday 25 April 2013 shortly after 10.00. I then phoned Cell C numerous times to confirm the payment and sent them proof of payment. I again said that no debit orders should be in place at my Capitec Account. On Friday afternoon I received an SMS notification to say that Cell C had debited my Capitec account in respect of my account. I phoned the call centre and the lady kindly acknowledged that she can see from my account that there are now reflecting to receipts and she will advise the billing dept to refund me directly to my account and that it would take no longer than 48hrs, starting Monday. I phoned Cell C today to confirm that the complaint was lodged and to ask for confirmation that the refund will be made within 2 days. the lady at the call centre then said it might take up to 10 working days!! This is ridiculous! CellC must do the refund within 48 hrs or pay interest thereon. I need that money to pay other accounts!
