I compared my cellphone network tariffs of MTN with other options this week. On both my packages I now realize that MTN locks me on a rate of R2.35 per minute on per second billing. I asked to migrate of a more cost effective package but that isnt possible. MTN does have a package where I can pay 1.20 per minute but oh no I cant move. I left vodacom in the past cause of their high rates and I will do so with MTN as soon as my contract expire. I suggest compare your package and cost with other networks and you might find you are being ripped off.
MTN I will cancel and get a cheaper network in the future. The days of ripping me off is over once my contract expire. There will be no second chances. I have discussed this in the past but there seems to be no change in your view on your rates. My rands will vote elsewhere soon. In fact it already does on another network with a pre paid sim card and I get way better value... Real value.
