23/4/2013 my phone 0832721961 would not make nor receive voice calls. Message "Error in connection! " The phone would still do SMS and data transfer. Phoned 808 - account is in order. Swapped sim cards with my other phone and the fault moved with the sim. ie. the handset is good.
24/4/2013 at 09h30 took the phone to MTN Port Alfred where they replaced the sim card because "it was too old". I paid R135 but only after objecting to this charge. The problem was not resolved. Ref 99347552
25/4/2013 at 17h00 went back to MTN PA. They had escalated the complaint to higher level in MTN SP. There were also numerous phone calls between me and MTN PA during the day.
26/4/2013 many phone calls to MTN PA. They escalating the complaint to MTN SP but unable to actually fix the problem. MTN Port Alfred were very helpful but unable to get the Service Provider to act. The phone has been switched off, battery removed, sim card swapped numerous times, all to no avail.
I want (1) Contractual service to be restored. (2) Refund of R135 paid for sim card - it is part of MTN equipment identifying me as the client, used in any handset. I believe that there was no fault with it. (3) An apology from MTN SP.
