My mobile phone crashed around Sunday evening 21st April as far as I can tell.
I only became aware there was a problem Tuesday morning 23rd April, when people were asking why I had not returned messages/calls.
Also I was expecting some critical messages... that never, ever arrived!
Or rather, MTN never passed them on to me.
On Tuesday I phoned the MTN Call Centre THREE times. They acknowledge there had been a fault. That they were attending to it. And the problem affected different customers in different ways.
One guy said my phone was NOT connected to the MTN system. He offered to refresh my phone and asked me to re-boot the phone my side. Apparently all my texts/messages would eventually come through.
This did NOT happen. So I went into the MTN Service Centre at Canal Walk. My phone worked perfectly when they checked it.
Regarding the missing messages, well that was not their department. I had to sort that out myself with the MTN Technical Department. So much for "service".
This morning I am trying to send texts, and AGAIN, they are not going through.
What does it take to get someone to help me get my messages coming and going?
