THe only way I can get signal from MTN in this area at greater speeds is by boosting my antenna signal.
I use the one day uncapped which I pay 50 rand for on the weekends. My speed is normally 3 bars hsdpa once my booster is correctly pointed at the tower. Now I have 3 bars HSDPA but my speed has been throttled to less than 25 kbps per second. Fair use policy is 128 - 256kbps as published by vodacom cell c and 8ta.
Could MTN please specify their "Fair use policy".
Could MTN put towers up here that support HSDPA without poynting aerials.
Could MTN stop throttling peoples' bandwidth so that they at least can download a movie or two (in my case large files for computer support).
Maybe when uncapped is truly uncapped one of the service providers will truly come to the party!
