I have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM... personally i feel we being robbed blindly, especially when packages sound to good to be true to customers who can afford it but dont even know anything about adsl, connection speeds and lags.. know for a fact that ISP are now slowing down connection speeds on those who have a bigger line..and especially 1mb... it took me over an hour to book a plane ticket... and then telecom and adsl the culprits working hand in hand tell me to go do a speed test which they provide you with, and wow, its as if you are making a complain because of the test result... and initially when i wanted to cancel my subscription, ... mweb tells me im on a 24 month contract and are not allowed to cancel, only to find out from telkom later that it was false, and after some months mweb tells me they would never say such a thing.. i think the staff is, brainwashed, while these isp (MWEB) take our money for under average value..imagine stuck with a 1mb lin for a yr and not once having a record download speed of even 200kbs... I urge everyone to do a feedback and record proof from existing customers before signing deals with such companies...
