A young upcoming black business man who has been doing work for my father for many years has been making a living for himself and relies on his clients being able to contact him on his cell phone.
Three weeks ago his cell number was high jacked by Cell C. As a result none of his clients are able to contact him. He is loosing business and also the means to secure an income for himself and his family. He also creates work for others in his community.
He has informed me that his phone number just suddenly stopped working and that he tried to find out what the problem was from Vodacom. They informed him that his number had been deleted from the Vodacom database and been ported...
Upon further enquiry it came to light that Cell C had been responsible. His wife informed him that Cell C representatives have been doing the rounds in the Bloekombos location and offered people free simcards. All they had to do was give them their current cellular number and an ID number and this without explaining to them what they will be doing with these numbers.
