MTN unhelpful with phone repairs under warranty

In March 2012, I took a cellphone contract witn MTN shop in the Tzaneng mall. From the start, there was problems with the phone (Nokia C7) as it was rebooting on its own without warning. I did not report the problem straightaway because I live on a farm 25km out of town. I decided to live with this glitch and see what happens. A few months later, I started to experience some loss of signal, in particular, loss of internet connection, where I have to reboot the phone manually in order to get the signal again. As I live in a remote area, I thought that maybe this is the cause of the sudden losses of signal which seemed to happen more and more often. They other day, I was in central Tzaneen and was waiting for an important e-mail to come through. When I looked at my phone, I saw that it lost the internet connection, so I restarted it and the e-mail came through.
I went straight to the MTN shop in the mall where I was told that they have only one loan phone for the whole of Tzaneen and that they would not be able to inform me by phone when it will be available again. So now, the only option is to buy a spare phone while I wait for the other one to be repaired. Thanks for helping
