I bought a Cell C Speedstick in December from Rosebank Mall. The woman who sold it to me assured me that it would work on a Mac. When I got home I tried it and it didn't work. I immediately phoned the help centre who said I need to download a driver from the Cell C site, which I did. It still didn't work. I tried the same thing on another machine. I then emailed Cell C with the problem. They took AGES to reply to my email with no solution - only to try it in another machine which I did, again, and it didn't work. Then they said to take it into a Cell C branch to get a replacement. I took it in yesterday only to be told this product doesn't work on a Mac and I may as well cut my losses, as they won't refund purchases after 7 days.
Cell C has effectively R600 from me - selling me a dud product, not being able to fix it, then saying they won't accept a return. How many other people are they ripping off?
