Billed for a Telephone Line that I do not have

Application for a Telkom line made via a street agent in early 2012. However Line was never installed nor did we sign or pay for installation. Received bills from Telkom. Queried bills last year and the amounts reversed (ref: DSP000107112826). Telkom still continued billing thereafter even after acknowledging we dont have a home telephone or line. Account handed over to attorneys for collection. threatened with legal action, submitted affidavit setting out what had transpired as required by attorneys. No feedback. Went back to Telkom on 9/03/13 - only to be told accounts dept aware of the sitaution but cannot understand how this transpired and accounts department only operate from Monday to Friday. Negatively affecting credit rating. Required reversal of this account. We have a 8ta cellphone contract that is due for upgrade but cannot upgrade because of this situation. This is ridiculous as 8ta and Telkom are one company. It is evident from the bills that the Telkom account is not active because it reflects no actual usage. S Rajagopal
