Cell C ignores new contracts

I recently arranged a new contract through Cell C Direct, Although the process was drawn out, taking two weeks before I received my phone, and I didn't receive the colour of the phone I wanted (white), the overall experience was quite good.

Since then Cell C service has been an epic FAIL!!! 10 days after receiving my phone I have STILL not been able to activate the contract!!! I have phoned the call centre countless times, held on forever (the record being 27 minutes), sent them an SMS (which they ignored) with no result.

I have had to resort to using pre-paid vouchers on an old SIM to make use of the phone!!!

According to the paperwork with the phone, my contract charges are in effect as soon as I take delivery. What happens then to the 10 days worth of airtime, data and SMS that I have not been able to use???

Please someone call me and sort this out. I need my contract activated, and I want a credit for all the days I have not been able to use the contract since I got the phone.
