I was told my contract expires in Jan this year when I renewed my contract in 2011. I then enquired in Jan and I was informed that my contract actually expires in May. I asked if my premium would go down and I was informed that no changes would be effected until I personally call in on the 6th of May to cancel the contract.
My premium went up from R368 to R427, I again went to an MTN store in centurion and I was assisted by a very rude lady who told me the premium went up due to the expiry of the blackberry contract. My BIS was not discounted anymore. This didn't make sense to me but I asked her to then cancel my BIS because I wasn't using this blackberry anymore.
She told me it was a once off thing and that BIS was not active on my profile. After a few weeks I received my statement and there it stated that my premium will be R427 again.
I need clarity as to whether I can cancel this BIS and how can I get out of this contract. I'm not renewing my contract due to the bad service that I've received at a few MTN stores I've visited. I also sent a mail to webmaster and the response was quite efficient but I'm really not happy with my premium going up without me being notified.
