I have a contract with MTN for Uncapped Lite Internet. During the first 6 months of the service provided we had no problem issues. For the past few months I have not been able to access the internet at all or sometimes intermittently from 19h00 in the evening until 23h00 weekdays. Weekends the service is exactly the same - non existent. After various calls to the call centre and checking different options, changing network settings as the call centre instructed, I was told that the intermittent service is due to congestion or too many users using the service. This is not a network issue as we always have full signal on HSPA / HSDPA.
I have logged a complaint via the website and have not had any feedback. Why should I be paying for a service which I am not receiving? I see this as a breach of contract on behalf of the service provider.
I am extremely unhappy with the service provided and would like to warn others who would like to look at this option as they would not receive what they are promised.
