Three weeks ago I 'upgraded' from a Cybersmart capped bundle to an uncapped bundle. The internet has been persistently unusable since the change. Simple websites, including local html-only sites (even HelloPeter.com!), take up to half an hour to load making any task on the internet impossible.
Clearly this is not a network-load issue as my previous capped account provided more than adequate speeds. Considering the fact that one pays for extra bandwidth in a given month, Cybersmart's strategy is hardly surprising. It seems that Cybersmart intentionally offer second-rate speeds to uncapped clients. I suspect this teeters on the brink of contravening the Consumer Protection Act.
