We live within 5km of White River and have recently had our telkom lines and now sit without a landline and have been told the lines will not be replaced. We pay a monthly rental fee, and when the lines are up, the phones hardly ever work anyways!! Secondly we have requested an ADSL line on numerous occasions, and every time we are told there is no space, try again in 3 months - it has now been 3 years!! Telkom constantly rolls out new technologies and upgrades in major cities, but fails to provide even the basics in smaller cities!!
