Been Handed Over For None Payment

I cant believe Telkom. My wife receives a phone call to advise her that I have been handed over for none payment
of a Telkom account. The thing is this account has been paid up and been closed for more than a year already.
The account was paid up at Kenilworth Centre Cape Town and was instructed for the line to be disconnected.
Since this was done no form of bill or any other notifications was sent of money owing. Now I must go look for proof of payment.
Telkom if you going to ruin my credit record, its gonna to be paid.
