BLACKBERRY CAN NO LONGER BE REPAIRED

My Blackberry got damaged. I took it to Canal Walk Branch for repairs on the 6 Janaury 2014. They said they will call me back with in a couple of days. After receiving a number of sms from Vodacom to say they are still working on my phone. Only on the 17 January 2014 I received a call from Dowlene Remmits saying the phone can be repaired and she is emailing me a form to be signed once received back then only will they start with the repair. I signed the form straight away (the same day) and emailed back to her. On the 3 Feb 2014 i received an sms saying my phone is ready for collection. I went on the 4 February 2014 to the Vodacom shop to collect. I asked what needed to be paid they said no cost. As i got back from Canal Walk (I stay in Lakeside) switched the phone on it was not working the same problem. When i phoned Vodacom I only was only then informed that they could not fix my phone. How can Vodacom do this to customers. Why could they not tell me on the 6 Janaury 2014 sorry we cannot fix your phone but waisting my time driving up and down thinking that they have repaired my phone. I am shocked by the way Vodacom delt with my problem.
