We moved into a new home with no phone line, however prior to moving (Nov2103) we enquired if there would be a problem installing a new phone, in which Telkom responded there wouldn't be any.
After moving in in the beginning of December nothing has materialised, we get no confirmed answer other than it's a cable fault and nobody can seem to fix the problem. It's a faceless organisation with only a call centre to call that themselves can only tell you what's on their PC screen (Eisch cable fault).
Tech's have been to the property (to install) on the following dates - not counting the countless calls to the call centres.

The same response - sorry cannot do anything - cable fault, it's another dept, Really, what is an acceptable time to wait for a new phone and how difficult is it to repair a cable?? My frustration is that there is nobody further up the food chain that this issue can be escalated to to address this other than - "sorry call the call centre".
If Telkom had any serious competition they wouldn't have a business. Any business that takes in excess of two months to supply a service, that service will be requested elsewhere
