I requested to renew my credit card only to find that I had been blacklisted at the request of Vodacom.
I have a monthly data bundle for R69 which is deducted from my bank account. For some reason Vodacom stops deducting the money (unfortunately I did not notice as I use mainly WiFi) without informing me, I then go into arrears without being informed, and finally blacklisted for being in arrears with no notification that this will happen IS THIS LEGAL? It seems they made a mistake? but I have to drive 15K to a service centre to pay my arrears even though I have not used this data, stand in line for 2 hours and my BLACKLISTING they say they will reverse. But will they? I am now left with a bad credit rating, no credit card and a record of being a debtor for 3 years. Of course, no one apologises but why should they... because they are Vodacom and too important
