Let me give this a try and see if it makes any difference to businesses that monopolise. In Dec i wanted to open an ADSL line and was told that this is not possible due to them writing an amount off on my behalf, an amount that i am not responsible for considering that i had someone who opened an account on my name which is. MY ID document was and after sending Telkom an affidavit in 2001 informing them that this is not my account and i have no idea who did this, i never heard heard from Telkom after this. I have called telkom and their line countless times trying to resolve this but to no avail. It's amazing how one has to resort to this before you get a response, it's hilarious actually. My next step will be the consumer protection act if nothing comes of this.
