Cell C claims that I used over R3000 worth of data in an accumulated period of less than 5 minutes - technically impossible given their data rates. Since these data charges were incurred during office hours when I don't use my cellphone for Internet access, I find this even more unbelievable. Instead of them giving me an explanation they harassed me for payments, since I had paused payments pending their investigations after I lodged a complaint. Their response was eventually (after many distressing calls to their call-center) that their IT department says "it is so, so pay up". No explanation, no interest in my questions. Even when I took out the SIM and put the phone away, my bill kept rising. I am tired of talking to the walls they have as agents and need someone from Cell C to call me and explain to me why I need to pay for the impossible. What I do owe, I will be glad to pay but until someone gives satisfactory answers I will not. I am now being harassed by a debt collector acting for CellC, who has absolutely no interest in discussing anything - the attitude is "pay, or else...". I want to end this runaround and get some proper explanations from CellC - is that so hard?
