Handing me over to nuDebt collection- 9mths late

My contract had come to an end and i decided not to renew. i duly informed them via e-mial in April 2013- Said e-mails acknowledged. up until Oct 2013 my bank account was still being debited. Despite serveral e-mail requesting that they stop. i managed to have Sept.'s one revised only to have them change codes and deduct in Oct. 2013. My father then received an sms on 27.01.14 saying that i have been handed over to NuDebt (ND18193293) becoz i was in breach of contract. I called them - spoke to Keegan and sent him the e-mails. only to receive an sms later in the day saying i have 72hrs to pay the R138.50. I called Keegan again only to have to explain all over again what had happended. i was told that the debt was placed on hold pending investigation.
i feel that the service or lact thereof is totally unacceptable dispite receiving e-mails from 8ta requesting that someone assist. they assisted me alright by handing me over to a debt collection agency. i need an apology and proof that my name has been cleared. (to have the monies refunded would also be nice, but not a primary concern)
FYI - i have never received a statement so i dnt have an acc number. The cell number was 0814899368
