During February 2012 I opted not to renew my Cell C contract and duly advised them by e-mail. To my surprise I was contacted by VVM who told me that the account was handed to them for collection. After a considerable effort and frustration I managed to convince all concerned that I owe nothing and that the contract was indeed cancelled. I have mails exchanged with Cell C legal department which I keep as it would appear as if they apparently cannot adjust their records.
Today (24/07/2013) I was AGAIN contacted by a debt collecting firm (Pholosa). Once again I had to explain the whole story and requested to send all the documents again.
Must I keep on doing this untill the day Cell C can afford a functioning contract admin department? This cellphone company is the most inept and frustrating company that I have come across in all my years. I have been offered nice contract deals with Cell C subsequently, but I will NEVER use them again!! Pretty much impossible to get rid of.
