My phone was on a Sunday. Within less than a day more than R26 000 were charged to the phone. When contacting Nashua, we were told by two different people in Nashua that the phone was hard locked on the same day the occurred. We were also told that syndicates sell airtime that then is being charged to the phone. It seems to be a quite common.

Nashua obviously does not have its act together. How is it that the hardlock did not prevent such abuse? Is there something wrong with their system? How is it that if this is quite common that Nashua has not put in the necessary steps to prevent such abuse such as automatically locking the phone when it goes above a reasonable threshold? How is it that Nashua only alerts you a day after the incident ie when all the damage is done?

It is very clear that Nashua's and risk management practices are not adequate. Instead of taking responsibility for their own failure, they now want me, the end user to pay for their failure. Not fair.
