IPhone warrenty replacement unit

I had my Iphone 5 for a month before giving problems, then went dead a month later. Following a few visits to the Apple IStore and MTN the warranty claim was approved, now I do not get any feedback on the replacement unit. I have been taking leave to go in to the local MTN shop, since they do not answer their phones, etc. I am disappointed in the lack of commitment. I used my "new" phone for less than 2 months the past 5 months, but was billed the full amount each month. It is not advisable to get a contract through MTN Direct since you do not get support afterwards.
