I have a uncapped internet contract with MTN, since last year Nov/Dec my connection has been extremely poor, most of the time unusable. I contacted MTN on 23/01/2013 and I was told that I would have to wait 14 to 15 working days just for them to contact me to make arrangements to attend to the problem with the network in my area, in the mean time I have a internet contract which I have to pay for every month but 90% of the time it doesn't work or is so slow that it takes a web page up to 5mins to open. Advice to anyone wanting to go with MTN, their service is appalling. Rather go with Telkom or Vodacom.
