Why do you have a store if they have no stock

Last year I called the call center to order a Blackberry and was told that I will wait up to 7 working days, on the 7th working day I called again to follow up where the phone is, I was told the phone is on its way. On the 10th day I called again, only to be told that there is no stock, so I cancelled the order.

Now that I am due for my upgrade; I am interested in the Samsung S3 Mini with the tablet combo. I went to The Glen store and was told that they do not have stock, but they will have stock on Thursday. I went there on Thursday and still no stock. I went again on Saturday, and guess what, still no stock and the excuse is that they have a problem with the warehouse. I asked if they have the Blackberry 9790 in stock, the answer is "no stock".

What the is going on? After being a customer for so long I never had issues like this with my upgrade, through the call center or at a store. Should I rather cancel my contract instead of upgrade?
