I got a cell phone contract from Nashua Mobile (Pavilion Westville) in January 2012. The Blackberry phone went in twice for repairs (apparently software upgrade) in February 2012 and October 2012. The same problem persisted and I once again handed it in for repairs in January 2013. I received three sms's from Nashua since then informing me that my phone is still at their repair centre. I approached the branch again to query why the repair was taking so long. I was then told that that I now needed to PAY R427.20 for a software upgrade. FIRSTLY, why was i not contacted and informed about this payment due, and SECONDLY after being in twice before for repairs why should i be held liable for faulty software? Dealing with Nashua Mobile has been frustrating and extremely stressfull from the begining. I contacted the Nashua Head office in Durban on 0319409110 and was told that they could not help me. I then contacted the Joburg Technical department on 0112078000 and was tranferred to a technical advisor who's phone went to voicemail!!! I left a message and am still awaiting his call. All this running around and phone call are at my expense!!!
