Since the commencement of my contract with Vodacom on a 3Gig data-line - 0823083160, I have never exceeded more than R130 value out-of-bundle. During the course of December 2013, while investigating why my data-line had been closed, I discovered that my account had been locked/closed due to R20689.34 out-of-bundle usage. When I called Customer Care, I was told that this was due to my credit limit cut off point being R20000.
Besides the limit (which is clearly to my disadvantage from a customer point of view and inappropriate with my affordability), which is the first problem, I was startled by how I could have reached such a sum when I pay close attention to my usage/account every month. In addition, this usage is excessively high for not just me, but for any reasonable person and I find it deplorable that I am being billed this much. It is obvious that this is out of the norm and cannot relate to actual use.
I am also disgusted by the lack of service I received from Customer Care and their Technical partners in addressing this nonsensical bill. I fail to understand how a case raised around the Xmas (25 December 2013) (with a 14 working days SLA) has still not been resolved.
