I have 3 contracts with MTN, one is for cellphone and 2 for data, the other data contract which uses a data modem expired on November 2013. I used to pay about R150 for 22 months but suprisingly during November and December amounts R3094 & R2609.00 respectively. during the first 22 months I tried to use the Modem in an abusive manner including giving it to people that I know will really use internet just that it can at least charge me up to R600 with no success. The highest I once managed to use was R289.00, the reason I wanted it to charge me a bit higher was that my Employer gives allowance to claim for Data to maximum of R600/month and I was claiming an average of R150. I raised my concerns on 16 November 2013 seeking advise on how possible is it that just on the last 2months of the contract I managed to exceed what I was normally paying for 22 months by over 1500% and my usage of internet had not changed. Lehlohonolo finally sent itemised billing on 8 January 2013 showing charges which although still very high were less than what was taken from my account, 9 January 2013 I replied requesting clarityregarding that but I am still waiting for response till today.
