In November of 2013 I wanted to download whatsapp for free and was directed to a site. I was asked my cell number and a link was sent to my phone. I clicked on this link & then received a message saying: welcome: bempix backgrounds etc subscription @ R7/day unsub sms stop to 43035. This was not what I wanted so I sms'd stop to 43035, they responded with 'you have unsubscribed from bempix, sorry to see you go. Directly after this another sms came through, also bempix with R7/day subscription. I never downloaded twice and had already got confirmation of stop, ignored it. that month I was billed about R200 from bempix. I called my service provider & had number blocked. In that month I got or apparently made a call to that number every day, but I never dialled it, ever. I never got any content on my phone via sms etc. Mira Networks say, sorry they got no stop sms at first, bempix then came back with they sent an pdf explaining about a second opt-in option. I received no pdf, nothing. They refuse a refund and I feel so frustrated, because they keep sending me logs of calls etc, but I never got/made any calls. Stop to me means stop, why would I need to stop twice?
