New phone and no sales services

I upgraded two cell phones at MTN. Both phones are Samsung S111mini. on the 4th day of the purchase my son pushed the power button to switch the phone mode off. On doing so he noticed a moon shaped crack around where the power button is. this phone has been in a leather book shaped cover since our purchase.

We took the phone back but they say it is physical damage and not their problem. They can't log the phone in for warranty or anything. Just nothing they can (will) do. I have tried the manager in the shop Mark Pillay, Reshma from customer services, Durban customer care. No one returns my calls and as of today the phone was sitting at MTN for 2 days with no help.
This phone is 4 days old and already worth nothing and I am compelled to pay for another 20 months on a damaged phone.
After sales services is shocking I will NOT be renewing my contract with them again
