I had an MTN contract which I requested to be cancelled on the morning of 7 January 2014. The lady in the cancellations department said she was having difficulty cancelling the contract and that she had escalated the issue. I was told that I did not need to worry about the contract rotating that evening and I was told that I would not be billed. I received a reference number but no further calls from MTN.
On the evening of the 8th the contract rotated and I was billed the next day with an invoice. The contract then suddenly cancelled later that day and was converted to prepaid. I now have no airtime and I'm expected to pay for it too. I called the MTN call center and was transferred to the contracts department where I was cut off. Upon trying to call 0831808 I was cut off twice as well. MTN please rectify this. I refuse to pay this bill which comes as a result of your inefficient cancellations department.
