Why am I not getting what I pay for?

I applied for a nashua contract September / October 2012. I had problems right from the start. To begin it took more than a month before it was approved, without any notice or communications. And then after 3 months the rates and services were changed, once again without notice. Since then I had problems every month my bb services not activated and phone soft locked eventhough it shouldn't have been. About 6 months ago I lost my job and requested my contract be ended since I won't be able to pay for it. I am however not allowed to do it. Since then I am paying as funds are available to me. My bill is paid up in full, did so about a week ago already and my phone is still not working? And every month I have to phone to have it switched on. Why am I paying and I am not able to use it? I am now forced to also have a pay as you go number just so I have access to my phone
