It is with great sadness that I write this complaint on the first day of 2014. Being woken up by a notification that an amount of R615.69 has been debited leaving me with a R-194 balance is not just a dissappointment but also an inconvenience because I know that my contract with MTN is R189.00. This started in August where an amount of R415 was debited, when I went to the Port Elizabeth Cape Road branch to query this I was told it's websites that I visited but they could not supply me with detailed info.
I immediately queried this with Customer Service and even advised the lady named Palesa to block or cancel this number and she sent me an e-mail saying its been cancelled - Reference Number: 7396017.
To my surprise MTN still deducts and has failed to do a proper investigation on who is using this account as the last time I used the simcard was in August 2013. This has not only created inconvenience for but also a bad record on the bank's records as these debit order amounts have not been planned for as a result affect other debits. I honestly need a thorough investigation and a refund on all these occassions. My Id number is 831010 6139087.
