From the time I opened an account with Telkom in March I have been to their branch and made calls about 16 times now. They have wrongly billed me and when I queried the first time they credited the amount back. Now I get a ref number & no response. Next thing is I got a call to say you are being handed over, so they can hand over but cant attend to queries!!! So on 27 November I went to cancel the ADSL line so I can remain with just the landline. They said they need 1 months notice so I will need to pay for the month up to 27 December. Plus to cancel they charge R220 even if I'm cancelling because of TERRIBLE service. A few days later I got a call about my cancellation, confirming that the cancellation will be on 27 December & asking why I'm cancelling. 3 days later the ADSL service was cancelled & I'm expected to still pay for the month! This is extortion! Imagine if they are doing this to 5000 "helpless" customers x R400 a month 5000 X 220!!!
