Travelling overseas about 2 months ago I could not use my phone. My wife was told by Vodacom that I cancelled roaming in July this year. I certainly did not do this as I regularly travel overseas and I need and use my phone to communicate. They were told that there is nothing Vodacom can do, that I need to return to SA to have it activated again! Then I can fly back and catch up on meetings I miss because the phone did not work?!
Since the second of November I spoke to a number of Vodacom representatives about this issue - asking for an apology and asking what they are going to do about the fact that they breached the agreement I had for a roaming service as part of what I paid for and for the impact on my work. I spoke to a Kulsoem, later to Ayeasha and others. Every time I ask for the proof of me cancelling the roaming. Every time I am told someone is working on it. Never do I get a response.
Recently a Njongo promised he will call the next Monday (December 9th) by 12h. He did not. On the Wednesday (11th) I spoke to Percy. He promised I will be called back that same day. Again no call. And none since.
Vodacom hides behind endless call centre staff. They clearly don't care.
