Applied to have a transfer for out telkom line as we are relocating to Durban on 1 Jan 14. On the online application & ph conversation (husband as witness 2 both) I asked that the transfer be done any time from the 31st Dec onwards as we would only be moving on the 1 Jan 14. I spoke with a very helpful lady today by the name of kavhita, who assured me that everything is in order for the technician to come to our new home on the 3rd of Jan 14 to complete the transfer of the line in our new home. To our dismay, barely an hour after this phone call, our line was disconnected. I am unable to make urgent funeral arrangements, we have been on hold with the call centre for (believe it or not its all on record) 3 & a half hours to try and get our line back on. 2morrow is Christmas Eve. Never mind urgent funeral arrangements, how are we to ph our children to wish them Merry Christmas. Even more sour note, we are in CREDIT on our phone account with Telkom. How can a onlince app & a ph conversation BOTH be confused for disconnection for today's date when we clearly stated BOTH times FROM 31 December. Who is going to pay for cell ph airtime to arrange funeral & xmas wishes? Reimburse airtime!
