I recently changed banks and after calling Mtn to change my debit order details I was told I would need to make a cash deposit at one of their stores as it was too late for the debit to be done on my old bank account. I made a cash deposit of R580 but on the 25th of November R528 was debited from my old account. I call Mtn and request a refund be done and was told it would take 2 to 10 working days. Once the 10 days had passed I call me to enquire about about the refund. Two of the first people I spoke to told me I needed to wait a while and the money would be refunded. Third told me the money wouldn't be refunded as I owed Mtn. This didn't make sense as I have never missed a single payment. The forth advised me that the money had been refunded on the 27th of November. I told the lady I had not received the money. She then told me they had attempted to refund me but my bank had rejected the transaction. She told me that I need to send them a bank statement to prove I had not gotten the money. I managed to send a statement I received by mail from my bank but was told it needed to be stamped. I honestly feel like Mtn wasted my time and still I have notbeen refunded.
