In October STD bank advertised in the Beeld and on their website that all 1 time tickets bought and paid with a STD bank card will be refunded by the bank.
After speaking to 2 consultants ant STD bank Kemptonpark - I was informed to come in and complete an Cardholder Dispute Form wish I did on the 9/10/2012. They made copies of the EFT payment and 1 time airline tickets.
In November I called the number given on website and was informed that payment does not show on my card -I had to call the card division to confirm that payment was made. I did this and lady assured me they will make a note on my card that payment was made to 1 Time.
In December I followed up and I was told that I will be refunded 14 days after expected departure date as on airline ticket this was 18/12/2012.
On the 15/01/2013 I called the number on the website and was adviced to call a different number who will assist. I phoned and was told that STD bank will not refund EFT payments as they see it as a cash transaction??
I need to contact the liquidaters myself to refund money. Why can ABSA and FNB refund their customers - when will STD send a notice to the media that they are not refunding EFT payments.
