Incompetent call center agent

I called the MTN 1023 call centre on Saturday the 14th December 2013, enquiring a number for Sportscene, Sanlam Centre in Parow. Tania answered the call, asked for the number, she got the number asked to connect me, to which I answered a No, I would like the number to be text to me. She got annoyed when I did not want to be connected. She eventually text-ed the number 0219301477 when I dialled it, it did not exist.
Talk about pathetic service. Called the call centre again, phone was picked up but no answer, held the phone for a minute or more no one answered though it was picked up. I am so disgusted by her attitude. Is it a MUST to be connected or is it a choice??? incompetent and a chancer too!!
