I have had a Telkom ADSL line for many years already and it has always had one problem or another. Telkom upgraded this line to a 2Mb line and it is no faster than the old dial-up. About 4-years ago a lightening strike damaged a cable and to date this cable has not been repaired. Whenever I log a fault with Telkom, I get the usual "handed to technical" response, after a few days I get an SMS saying the problem is resolved, but alas! still no downloads can be performed (they are simply too slow). Even downloading a 56KB e-mail takes up to 1-hour, I have had to disable the time-out in MS Outlook. I have to log a fault every 2-weeks and still no resolution.
