i have got a real problem with my contract with MTN. i have an iphone on an anytime 200 contract which i am paying R499 per month. the contract has cost me almost R2000 per month as the data usage is not controllable and i cannot afford this anymore. i have tried to ask if i can put a cap on the account and this is not aloud by MTN. now i have requested a cancellation agreement where i must pay nearly R3000 yet there is only 4 months left on the contract.
this is completely unethical as MTN will not allow me to control my spend on my phone by putting a capped limit, and now i will need to pay an exorbitant fee just to cancel the contract early. our business has got a big account with MTN and now because of this issue on my private account i will tink again about taking out or renewing any further contracts with MTN.
