We had a storm in mid May and something went wrong with my line, and I started getting intermittent packet loss and slow speed. I logged a call with Telkom on the 16th of May 2013 (ref: 287CRK160513). They came to have a look on the 19th of May and advised that my port was faulty and they need to replace "the card" in the exchange. It is now the 21st of November and the problem still persists.!!! I am hearing of all these upgrades they are doing and negotiating with media companies to bring their services to South Africa, but they can't even maintain the services they already have. I also obviously had to pay for the service during this time. I'd love to see the executive team of Telkom coming to me and paying full price for a sandwich and only getting half of it. They will obviously complain, but when they do it, then it's fine. I have also escalated (not that i think Telkom knows the meaning of escalation) with the ref: 521030. I know people say they're bad, but they should really stop complementing Telkom like that, 'cause this goes way beyond bad service.
