Shocking Billing / Accounts Department!!!

I currently have two contracts with Vodacom. One of my accounts is due for an upgrade. I have been getting smses for over a month to remind me i am due for an upgrade. I went in to a vodacom store on saturday to upgrade my account. They lady in the store tell my there is something wrong with my account and i need to contact client services and it is saturday, so they cant help me i must phone today.
As i phoned i got told they have handed me over to legal department for R400 odd rand for an account i had in 2009-2011...???
how is it possible to take out two contracts after that contract expired, get calls from them on a monthly basis to tell me what deals i qualify for and smses to upgrade but in two years they couldnt tell me i owe monies, or that i was handed over for petes sake??? i want answers!!!
I am really unhappy about this and want answers from Vodacom.
i have tried every alley with vodacom and no one seems to be able to assist me. if i can get my way i would like to cancel all my existing contracts with them, they make ME SICK!!! this is not the first time they up on my acconts!!!
