My adsl line took over 4 weeks until it was giving me the requested speed of 2mbps. On Thursday the line went down. The Telkom technician came to the house and could not conect my or his modern after working on the problem and taking to the people at the exchange it started working on his modern and note mine. I was told that my modem was faulty but won't be charged a unnecessary call out fee. I had my modern tested and tried a new modern but still No connection. I reported the fault a second time and the same technician came out and managed to get the connection working however the speed was only 0.2mbps. I said that I was on 2mbps and I need it to be at that speed as thats what I'm paying for. The technician said it not possible as I'm too far from the exchange, I told him it was on 2mbps so it had to be possible but he started arguing with me that that's not possible. I applied for and been paying for the Internet access for over 2 months but have only been able to use it for a short period.
