False advertising

This afternoon l popped into an mtn store at the maynard mall, on display was a samsung galaxy note 2 valued at R269 per month on contract.my wife has wanted this phone for a while now.to my disappointment l was told the phone has been discontinued, what makes me upset is, why advertise a product knowing fully well it is no longer in supply? surely if you dont have a product in stock, at least put up a note to inform your clients
