A doctors account went unpaid by medical aid. I was liable and couldnt afford to pay it all. Eventually i was able to make regular payments. To my surprise when reviewing my credit report Symington applied for judgement against me while i was busy paying the account monthly. I contacted them immediately to find out why they did this. Her response was that their client wasnt happy with my monthly payment 250. Their records were completely offbeat and their client gave them not only late but also wrong information. Since then i have endless hassles with them from misquoted balances to refusing to have the judgement rescinded even after i increased the monthly payment. she told me that once the account is settled i must pay R950 to have the judgement rescinded. I sent all the proof of payments which clearly show that the account was being paid the time they claimed it wasnt being paid.
I am about to approach the law society on this matter because my emails are being ignored regarding rescinding the judgement.
