Mtn
Unauthorised billing

I was billed on my MTN contract for a total content charge of R272.99 for which I had no idea what it was for. After contacting MTN, they informed me that this charge was triggered by Mira Networks. MTN also said I should take this up with Mira Networks as they could not assist me with this. After contacting Mira Networks it is clear that they're not interested in assisting, except explaining that this is a R7/day subscription for something that I'm not even receiving. All they did is send a sms stating that the subscription is cancelled. No chance of being refunded the charge in question. The bottom line is that I have never responded to any sms to initiate any subscription and neither MTN nor Mira can prove this.
When contacting MTN again, a supervisor promised to contact me within 48 hours. This is a and when attempting to speak to the same person again, they just cut you off. How can MTN allow such companies to put through such unauthorised transactions on their billing? When viewing all the complaints in this regard on Hello Peter, it is clear that this is a. It is clear that MTN is not interested in protecting their clients against such practices. Shame on MTN!
